How do I freeze my Fitness Membership?

Modified on Tue, 26 Sep, 2023 at 11:28 AM

Members with annual memberships cannot freeze their membership.

Members with a Direct Debit membership may freeze their fitness membership by giving us written notice by the 19th of the month prior to the month of freezing.

(i.e. If you want to freeze your fitness membership for January, we would need confirmation on or before the 19th of December.)

Your minimum term of 3 months must also have been completed to be eligible to freeze your fitness membership.

You can freeze your Direct Debit membership by emailing sport@sheffield.ac.uk or by completing the online form here.

Members may freeze their membership for a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 calendar months.

Memberships may only be frozen for one period within any period of 12 consecutive months. (Students may freeze for up to three periods but for not more than a total of five months within any period of 12 consecutive months).

All freezes will be applied from the 1st of the month requested and run to the last day of the month requested.
